Why Go Solar

Solar power is a clean, green renewable energy source that can be generated by installing a solar power system on your roof. Choosing solar makes a positive difference to the environment and can save you money on your electricity bills. Beyond Building Energy provide you with the information you need to make the best decision about your new solar power system, and offer competitive prices and payment options. Install a solar power system and begin generating your own electricity today.

Solar power:

  • Helps to beat rising energy costs.
  • Offers immediate savings on  your electricity bill.
  • Allows you to become energy neutral and never pay an electricity bill again.
  • Reduces your carbon footprint and helps to save the environment.
  • Requires no fuel.
  • Has no moving parts.
  • Produces NO emissions.
  • Generates NO waste.
  • Minimised impact on land use and ecology.
  • Reduces dependence on coal and oil – conserving fossil fuels.
  • Requires low maintenance.
  • Reduces your carbon footprint.
  • Saves carbon emissions -- solar power alone can reduce approximately 8.5 tons of CO2 per household per year which equates to taking 3 cars off the road.

3 Easy Steps to go solar
Beyond Building Energy can custom design a solar power system to suit your home or business. Once installed, a solar system costs virtually nothing to operate. The panels are guaranteed to produce energy for at least 30 years, and very little maintenance is involved.

Step 1:  --  Select the package that best suits your home or business.

Step 2:  --  Sign a Sales Agreement and pay a deposit.

Step 3:  --  Pay the balance of the system and at installation assign the REC's to Beyond Building Energy.

Beyond Building Energy's team of experts will work with you from package selection through to installation. Our Eco Home Starter package, a 1.5kW package, is suitable for most families wanting to reduce the cost of their electricity bill. If you're interested in going carbon neutral a larger system, such as our 5kW Eco Power Pro, will suit your needs. Small to large business owners and community living groups can also take advantage of the benefits of solar power. We have a range of systems, and will supply and install systems to suit every budget.

What are the Renewable Energy Certificates?
Take advantage of the new Renewable Energy Targets scheme (RETs) which is a Federal government initiative to provide financial support to anyone installing a Small Generation Unit (SGU) solar system (the SGU Owners Guide is downloadable at www.orer.org.au).
Beyond Building Energy will sell the RECs that your solar system will create to help subsidize the cost of your solar panel system and installation. (Refer to Step 2 of the 5 Easy Steps above.)
BBE uses the best quality, high efficiency Sunny Roo monocrystalline photovoltaic panels to maximize the savings to you and to the benefit of the planet's future.
How much will I get?
The level of subsidy will depend on a number of factors, including the price of RECs, the deeming period chosen by the applicant, the location of the solar PV system and the size of the system. For example a system installed in Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane or Canberra will receive more RECs than Melbourne or Hobart as these areas have less sunshine so less renewable energy is produced. (Refer to Tables 2, 3 and 4 of the SGU Owners Guide for full details or download it here.) Call our experts today on 1300 152 871 for more information.
Putting the power back in your hands
Whether for home, business, rental properties or small community groups -- everyone can currently take advantage of the Federal Government's Renewable Energy Target (RET) Scheme using a mechanism of tradeable Renewable Enrgy Certificates known as RECS. To assist with the upfront costs of installing the system, the scheme currently offers a 5 x multiplier of additional credits, equivalent to the output of up to 15 years operation (depending on the system type). This provides an upfront capital subsidy to householders and business, who may sell their RECs on the market.
Solar credits will apply to new installations of solar systems up to 1.5kilowatts (kW) of capacity installed. Systems installed above 1.5kW will still be eligible for the standard 1:1 rate of RECs created. For more information a fact sheet can be downloaded from www.climatechange.gov.au or click here.
This It is not means tested allowing everyone, including high income earners and business owners to apply for the RECs. Beyond Building Energy will sell the RECs that your solar system will create to help subsidise the cost of your solar panel system and installation. View the packages available for your home below and call 1300 152 871 to discuss your needs with one of our experts.
*Conditions apply, refer to BBE Terms and Conditions. Final price quoted will be determined by cost of solar power system and installation, Solar Generation Unit (SGU) eligibility, REC ratings and postcode zones, assignment of RECs to Beyond Building Energy and full payment price at time of installation.
