Sponsored Solar Neighbourhoods bring together a sponsor’s access to credit with our access to quality renewable energy products at a heavily discounted price. The sponsor purchases the systems up front, and is repaid out of the rebates. Sponsors we are in discussion with include large employers, councils, demand reduction programs aimed at electricity utilities, companies looking to offset their emissions, and philanthropists. Sometimes the customers are the sponsor’s staff, or the neighbourhood of their facilities. Sponsors typically provide storage and a coordinator as well as the finances.

Prices presume:

• Minimum 50 orders
  
• The applicant is eligible for the DEWHA rebate
  
• Customers are Owner-Occupiers
  
• Silicon prices remain at current levels
  
• Within geographic coverage of area
  
• Beyond Building retains the RECS
  
• The sponsor, or Beyond Building retain the Rebate

A self financed neighbourhood is where members of the solar neighbourhood put forward $8895 for the cost of supply and installation of the systems and then take back the $8,000 government rebate when the rebate comes through. Developers can work with Beyond Building to integrate solar directly into their buildings. Our accredited installer will work with the Developers’ own electricians and roofers, and work with them to ensure that incoming owners can access the rebates.

Community Buying Groups can tap into our pricing. Groups have to find a sponsor, or a lender, or find 50 people willing to pay the full price of $8895 until the rebate is available.
