How does this Work? |

- You receive a Beyond Building Energy BB Energy Saver 1000 solar system. This will allow you to capture the free and clean energy from the sun to reduce your power bills.
- 1000 watts of solar panels (e.g. six 170 watt panels), mounted in an aluminium frame and connected to your house’s electricity supply via an inverter, are supplied and installed by an accredited installer. We will then arrange for your energy supplier to connect your system to the electricity grid. Every bit of power your system returns cuts your energy bill.

How is this possible? |

The BB Energy Saver 1000 Offer qualifies for the maximum Government rebate available – which is $8,000.*
Because we buy in bulk, ship and install in large quantities, and because of our solar neighbourhood model which focuses on making renewable technology affordable for the homeowner, $895 is all you pay.**
*To be eligible for the rebate, a household must have a combined taxable annual income of under $100,000.

2 Simple Steps to Accepting the BB Energy 1000 Offer |
| |
You need to be part of a neighbourhood, and your neighbourhood needs to be opened first. Your neighbourhood coordinator will let you know when it’s time to sign up.

Visit our apply and complete the simple application. You will be given a reference number to write down. You can pay online, or post a cheque with your application. Make sure you write your reference number on the cheque.

| Step 2 |
Print out the forms and sign when you complete them, then post them with the cheque (unless paying on line), plus photocopies of:
- Your driving license (front and back)
- A utility bill
- A recent council rates notice
to: Beyond Building Energy, Reply Paid 288, Byron Bay, NSW, 2481
The address on your drivers license and utility bill must match the address on your rates notice. If you live on a multiple occupancy, you must show proof of your lot number. |

What Will Happen Next? |
| |
The process takes between 6 – 9 months between a neighbourhood ‘closing’, and installation happening. We can only start organising the pre installation site visits when all members of the neighbourhood have sent in their payments and paperwork.
We then appoint an installer and organise the pre installation site visits for your neighbourhood.
- During the pre installation visit, you find out if your house is suitable for solar, sign the Federal Government Rebate form and the Electricity Supply Authority form. The installer will bring these forms with him. You can find out more about the Solar Homes and Community Rebate, by visiting the rebate website, http://www.environment.gov.au/settlements/renewable/pv
- We will then advise you of any extra costs that you may incur. Extra costs may be incurred for installation if your roof is unusually difficult to access or shaded, or if your wiring is old and requires upgrading. At this point, you have the opportunity to decide if you want to proceed.
- We send the paperwork off on your behalf.
- The Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts, (DEWHA), will contact you directly to advise that you have received your Pre-Approval for the Rebate. It can take anywhere between 4-8 weeks to receive the DEWHA approval. The Electricity Supply Authority will also contact you, confirming you are approved to have the BB Energy Saver 1000 connected to the electricity grid. You will receive a pre installation report with your rebate pre approval. Keep this installation report safe until the day of installation, when you should give it to the installer, and he will help you fill it out.
- You notify your neighbourhood coordinator that you have received your Pre Approval for the Rebate, and we organize for the panels to be shipped from our factory. The panels will arrive within 4-5 weeks.
- Our BCSE accredited installers will then proceed with installation. Installation will be carried out over 4-8 weeks.
- After the panels are successfully installed you sign off on the paperwork and Beyond Building Energy will then send this to DEWHA. It takes between 2 – 8 weeks for the rebate to come through following the submission of the paperwork.
From the pre approval of the rebate, DEWHA allows for installation to happen anytime in the following 9 months. We aim to install within 6 months of the pre approval being received.
It is important that you are at home on the day of installation to be shown how the system works and to sign off on the rebate and to sign over the RECs to Beyond Building Energy.

The price of the package includes the solar panel, inverter and the installation in most instances.

Additional Costs
There may be an additional charge for installation if the roof is unusually difficult to access or it is shaded. Additional costs may also be charged by the electrical supplier if the wiring requires an upgrade or a new meter has to be installed. If there are any additional costs we will advise you before going ahead and give you the opportunity to request a refund.
